Event Details:

The Human Library® is, in the true sense of the word, a library of people. It’s an opportunity for readers to borrow human “books” and have 20-30 minute conversations. Every human book from our bookshelf represents a group in our society that is often subjected to prejudice, stigmatization or discrimination because of their lifestyle, belief, disability, social status, ethnic origin, or other. This Ontario Public Library Week, check out one of our books and challenge stigma and stereotypes.

Our Human Books include: Blind Person, Muslim Woman, Baha'i Man, Muslim Young Adult, Non-binary Person, and Brain Injured Woman. Come chat with them and learn to unjudge someone.

All ages are welcome; children aged 13 and younger must have a parent or guardian present. Program registration and appointments will be booked in person at the event.
