March 10: Babe (G) - MARCH BREAK - Interactive Movie Experience Let's kick off March Break with an interactive movie experience! Don't just watch this classic movie – be a part of it with our fun, interactive prompts and activities. We'll supply the popcorn and the props. 

(1995 94 min) A little pig with big dreams teaches himself to be a sheepdog in this marvelous fantasy based on Dick King-Smith's children's novel "The Sheep-Pig." Special for March Break: don't just watch this classic movie – be a part of it with our fun, interactive prompts and activities. 

April 21: Jumanji: The Next Level (PG) 

(2019 123 min) A team of friends return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own but discover that nothing is as they expect. The players need to brave parts unknown, from arid deserts to snowy mountains, in order to escape the world's most dangerous game. 

May 5: Turning Red (PG) 

(2022 99 min) Meilin is a confident, dorky 13-year-old living in Toronto who is torn between staying her mother's dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren't enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she "poofs" into a giant red panda. 

Our Family Grab & Go Kits contain extra-special STEM activities guaranteed to be both fun and educational! They are available on a first come, first served basis at the Children's Check-Out Desk on Saturday mornings during March Break.

Join us for some interactive stories using yoga. Build your mental and physical strength and confidence as we follow Jaime Amor's Cosmic Kids demonstrations using the CosmicKids app. 

Learn about the 'ingredients' of colour, line, shape, texture and pattern that mix together to create art! We'll explore a variety of art materials, including paint and drawing media, paper collage, photography, plasticine and more!

Join Kelly and a Zookeeper from the Riverview Park and Zoo to learn all about our Foster Pet that is hanging out at the Library this spring. We’ll learn some cool creature facts, read a story, and craft some fun.  

Are you ready to race? Help us build the ultimate racetrack from recycled materials, then test-drive the track with your favourite toy cars! We'll also have our LEGO out so you can build and test-drive your unique vehicles on our one-of-a-kind racetrack.

Welcome to the amusement park – where we'll be bumping, spinning, zipping and rolling! Discover the actions and reactions of bumper cars. Explore the forces at work when you spin. Create a zipline while investigating gravity. Design a roller coaster to meet a challenge. It's all about the physics of riding 'n' rolling! 

 Scientists in School will be visiting us virtually on the big screen for this program. 

Experience the night sky in a fun and relaxing environment – inside Astronomy in Action's portable planetarium! Learn about astronauts aboard the International Space Station, travel through the solar system, and explore constellations.
