Please note: Tech Coaches cannot help with computer or hardware repairs or provide ongoing tutoring sessions.

Spice Club Take-Away Kits Takeaway

Do you enjoy cooking, experimenting with ingredients and trying new recipes? Pick up our monthly Spice Club Take-away Kits featuring spices and herbs from all over the world.  

Kits are available first come, first served on the first Friday of the month.  

Want to learn more about the people and cultures who cook with this spice? Attend our Living Library Plus events in April and/or May and bring a potluck dish made with your spice kit.

Makerspace Not Registered

We’re transforming the Story Corner into a Makerspace where you can come and create things together! On March 8 and April 5, families with kids of all ages are welcome to drop into the Makerspace anytime between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.

March: Make a junk robot from recycled materials 
April: Plant vegetable seeds 
On May 3, we are asking families with kids ages 7 and up to register for a special Star Wars Makerspace and come ready to start at 5:30 pm. 

This program has been made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Library.

In these sessions we will go through the application process with you and help you work on your stories. Please choose to attend one of these sessions.

Home Alone Course - PA Day Registration Required

This program is FULL but you may add your name to the WAITLIST.

Develop your skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home on your own for short periods of time. You will learn how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations and keep yourself safe and constructively occupied. A workbook is included. 

Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle! For kids ages 10 to 14 years old.

This program is offered in partnership with Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. 

Please note: if you are more than 10 minutes late for a program you may not be admitted.

Indigenous Culture Series - All about Ribbon Skirts Registration Required

We’re partnering with the Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre to offer a series of informative events to help us explore Anishinaabe language and culture. Sign up for one or all three! 


March: Intro to Anishinaabemowin  

For anyone who wants to get a bit beyond miigwech, this is a great start to learning some simple phrases and explore how Anishinaabemowin works. 


April: All about Ribbon Skirts 

In this session, you'll learn about traditional teachings on identity, clans, and colours that all go into the creation of the ribbon skirt. 


May: What to Expect at a Powwow 

Attend this session to learn more about powwows and how you can participate respectfully and joyfully. Also, see some of the different styles of dancing and have a chance to participate in a dance.
