In these workshops you will be introduced to basic money management concepts lead by Brian Kelly, a volunteer with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA).
November 1: Pet Shop Workshop: This workshop will help you better understand the financial responsibility and commitments of owning a pet and how to be ready for unforeseen situations.
November 8: Needs & Wants Workshop: Learn about the difference between “needs” and “wants” and how to make smart decisions about spending your money.
November 15: Budgeting & Expenses Workshop: Budgeting is about making smart money choices, and this workshop will show you how to create a budget and the rewards of spending within it.
November 22: Earning Income Workshop: This workshop will help you understand what it means to earn an income and explore the challenges and options available to you as you start looking for your first job.

Local lawyer, Paige Minicola of Sullivan Law will discuss how to make necessary arrangements to ensure your priorities and objectives are respected and carried out to the benefit of your family members and loved ones.

This four-part series, offered by Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough (CRRC), builds from the foundations of Anti-Racism, introducing social justice and community healing concepts towards collective liberation and positive race relations, and finally leads into authentic allyship.
You will explore deeper understandings of social justice, gaining tools, strategies, and resources for addressing racism and social inequity in our day-to-day lives. A light meal will be provided.
Please register on the first date for the entire series. Because the workshops build upon each other, participants should commit to attending all four sessions.

We're partnering with Age-friendly Peterborough in this series for older adults, focussing on learning ways to stay safe, connected, and active in our community. Each month's session will feature a presentation, discussion, and time for socializing over a small luncheon.

A will provides your relatives with instructions about how your property should be handled after your death, but estate planning goes even further to outline your wishes regarding your health, finances, and more, even while you’re living. We will help you understand the financial and legal processes involved in both.
